Scouts for four and five year olds: the decision

Date: 15th Sep 2020 Author: Chorlton Scouts

The Board of Trustees has now made it’s decision on the future of early years scouting, announcing:

“With Scouts for four and five year olds, we’ll reach new communities and help even more young people gain skills for life, but at the moment, we’re all focussing on safety and COVID-19. Now’s not the time to start a new section, so we’re learning from Nations Boards, relevant line managers, pilots, and donors, to get the launch spot on.”

What does this mean for Chorlton’s hedgehogs?

As  one of the original trial units, we’re allowed to continue to operate and will play an important  roll in planning for the wider roll out when the time is right. To mark our contribution to the early years project Scouting HQ presented the group with a plaque for our meeting place.
