Welcome to Chorlton and Northenden Scout Group!
Chorlton Scout Group was formed in early 2018 with the merging of 392nd and 123rd Manchester Groups. Following the merger our group formally retained the 123rd Manchester name but for day to day purposes adopted the name Chorlton Scouts. In 2022 we absorbed the closing 435th Manchester, changing our name to 123rd Manchester (Chorlton & Northenden). Chorlton Scouts and Northenden Scouts are both trading names of 123rd Manchester.
The Group has grown steadily in all Sections over the last 5 years following the efforts and hard work of our Leadership team, fully supportive Group Exec and our Section Leaders. 123rd is proud to host the only Sea Scout Troops in Manchester South and is also one of just a handful of Scout Groups offering Scouting for Early Years (ages 4-6) in our Squirrel Dreys.
Our thriving and active Scout Group has a dedicated leadership team who produce exciting and dynamic programmes for young people of the area, teaching life skills as well as having plenty of fun along the way! We partake in regular meetings, camping trips and day activities.
It’s exciting being involved with us. We believe that through everyday adventure, young people regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives and meet lifelong friends through Scouting.
