Chorlton Scouts will reopen after Christmas on 10th January 2022

Skills for Life

Based in Manchester South Scout District, we are one of the largest and most active Scout Groups in Greater Manchester; every week over three hundred local young people aged 4-14 from Chorlton and the surrounding area join us to experience everyday adventure and take part in our top quality Scouting programme.

Welcome to Chorlton Scouts!

Chorlton Scout Group was formed in early 2018 with the merging of 392nd and 123rd Manchester Groups. Following the merger our group formally retained the 123rd Manchester name but for day to day purposes adopted the name Chorlton Scouts.

The Group has grown steadily in all Sections over the last 3 years following the efforts and hard work of our Leadership team, fully supportive Group Exec and our Section Leaders. Chorlton Scouts is proud to host the only Sea Scout Troops in Manchester South and is also one of just a handful of Scout Groups piloting Scouting for Early Years (ages 4-6) in our Squirrel Dreys.

Our thriving and active Scout Group has a dedicated leadership team who produce exciting and dynamic programmes for young people of the area, teaching life skills as well as having plenty of fun along the way! We partake in regular meetings, camping trips and day activities.

It’s exciting being involved with us. We believe that through everyday adventure, young people regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives and meet lifelong friends through Scouting.
