Volunteer with Chorlton Scouts

Scouting is made up of many different types of volunteers – and we would love our next one to be you!

From the Duchess of Cambridge or Chief Scout Bear Grylls, to teachers, postal workers, shop assistants, business people – there is no such thing as a typical volunteer. Adults at Chorlton Scouts support the group in many different ways including:

  • Working directly with young people as part of a section team (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorer team leaders & members)
  • Helping out at Nights away experiences and other events
  • Looking after the administrative side of Scouting as Chairs, Secretaries, Group Lead Volunteers, Administrators and Treasurers

We are alway looking for help! Interested in helping at one of the sections? Check out the links below to each one of our teams

Volunteering opportunities are flexible. When someone talks to us about volunteering, we find a role that fits with their time and skills – designed to fit around the time you have available to volunteer.

Ready to get involved and one of the roles above don’t interest you? Email [email protected].

All our activities are run by volunteers, who might join us because they want to:

  • Try something new
  • Make friends
  • Spend time with their children – or gain experience with young people
  • Do something good for their community and themselves
  • Keep their bodies and brains active and happy – whether that’s by scaling mountains, sharing skills or serving tea

All end up making a huge difference to young people’s lives – gifting them with skills for life, and learning a whole lot about themselves along the way.
