Paying for Scouts is a little different to some other extra-curricular activities. We charge on a membership basis, not per session.
How much is membership? As of 2025 our membership fees are £180 which is collected as £15pcm all year round
How are fees collected? We use our digital system – Online Scout Manager to collect monthly membership fees by direct debit using a third party – Go Cardless.
When are payments due? Direct Debits are due on the 1st of the month, usually leaving bank accounts by the 7th
When is my first payment due? If you join Scouts before the 15th of the month payment for that month will be due, if you join after the 15th payment will start from the following month.
What notice is required to end my membership? When you notify us (by email to [email protected]) your membership will stop at the end of that month.
How many sessions are included with membership? We will deliver at least 36 sessions per year
Are there any extra costs? Members are expected to have a uniform jumper to sew their badges on to. We also offer numerous additional extras per year including camps, trips, adventurous activities etc – these are usually charged separately with costs kept to a minimum – participation in these is always optional.
What if Money is a barrier to taking part? Our Trustees have a limited fund available to support families who need financial assistance – please speak to us if you’d like to explore this
