We are the UK's biggest mixed youth organisation. We change lives by offering 4 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.
Chorlton Scout group is an extremely popular and successful group, and it is normal for each of the Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts Sections within the group to run at full capacity. As a result, entry numbers to all sections have to be managed by a waiting list to ensure an even spread of age groups within each section, and to avoid creating surges in pack or troop numbers at a later date. Places are allocated in accordance with our membership policy.
September 2025 Update: Please note we now have in excess of 400 children waiting to join. Wait times could be extensive. New places at Squirrels level (age 4) come up each January, Easter and September, places in older sections will only come up when an existing member chooses to leave.
