In 2022, 435th Manchester Scout Group sadly closed its doors after many successful years. Keen to secure the continuation of scouting in Northenden, a group of parents and leaders from the old group worked with a neighbouring group in Chorlton to open a new satellite Cub Pack and a Scout Troop in Northenden from November 2022.  Members at these sections are full members of Chorlton Scout Group, but their weekly sessions take place in Northenden village.
