In Summer 2025 We are planning an international trip for Scouts and Explorers. This page has been set up to provide some information about the trip. The below video provides some highlights from our Zoom information call from Sunday 11th February 2024.

N.B – The Narrator, makes a mistake in this video and incorrectly states that the trip includes 3 days accommodation in Belgium* – Please note the accommodation is in Northern France, with a day trip to Bruges.
The most important thing to note about this trip, is that it is more of a project than just a straight forward trip. The aim is that over a period of 16months, participants form a contingent and work together to:
- Plan their trip.
- Fund raise for their trip.
- Prepare for their trip.
- Have the best possible time they can.
Scouts selected to form part of the contingent will be expected to participate as a contingent member and work collectively towards building a great experience for themselves. Whilst we understand some participants will be in the fortunate position of being able to expect financial help from their parents, we strongly feel that all participants should work towards raising at least part of the fee themselves.

Contingent Selection in March – If the number of people interested exceeds the number of places available, some kind of competitive process will be designed with interested parties invited to apply.
Non Refundable Deposit due: 1st April 2024 – £75.00
Contingent Activities begin April 24 – fundraising planning etc. Trip to be paid for by June 2025.

8 days, 7 nights trip to France and Belgium including visits to Paris, DisneyLand, The Opal Coast, Bruges
Dates: 02/08 – 09/08/2025

To Be Eligible for this trip Scouts must have been born between 9th August 2007 and 31st December 2014. This means everyone going will be Scout or Explorer Age by the time of the trip
Total Trip Cost: £995 including accommodation and full board, 2 days of disney tickets, all transport, full travel insurance, Sand Yachting, Day to trip into Paris, Day Trip into Bruges, Belgian Chocolate making experience.
